Talia’s VP of Business Development to Present at CABSAT 2017

Talia’s Vice President of Business Development Jack Buechler is to give presentations at SATEXPO and at the GVF Satellite Hub Summit next week at CABSAT in Dubai, UAE. The presentations topics are ‘Satellite Synergy: Broadband Telecoms for a Mobile World’ and ‘Integrating & Securing Out Digital World: Cyber Security for Satellite in a World of Big Data, the IoT & the Cloud’.

SATEXPO – Satellite Synergy: Broadband Telecoms for a Mobile World

The 30-minute talk will be discussing how, as demand for data and speed increases, the telecoms and satellite industry will be impacted. Jack Buechler will also discuss possible solutions to the ensure that the telecoms keep up with demand, including implanting backhaul with HTS/LEO satellites, latency migration and spectrum harmonisation for when 5G becomes readily available.

The talk will begin at 4 pm (12 pm GMT) on the 21st of March and will be presenting alongside Omar Diab – Sales Director at iDirect.

GVF Satellite Hub Summit – ‘Integrating & Securing Out Digital World: Cyber Security for Satellite in a World of Big Data, the IoT & the Cloud’

This 75-minute discussion will comprise of Jack and other leading cyber security experts discussing how vendor-neutral specifications would enhance security without reducing performance or utility. Following on from this, a discussion of how the best security practices can be adapted and applied to the VSAT industry. The presentation will begin at 2:15 pm (10:15 am GMT) on the 23rd of March. Both presentations are held at CABSAT – the leading trade exhibition for media and satellite sectors for the Middle East. As a major player in the telecoms sector, Talia will also be exhibiting its products and services in hall 8 at stand C8-20 to over 14,000 visitors from around the world.
