Talia Holds Reseller Training Seminars in Arbil, Kurdish Region, Iraq

LONDON, UK. -- 2007-03-20

On March 13-14 and 15-16, 2007, Talia followed its appearance at the CABSAT conference by holding two sales and technical training seminars in Arbil, Kurdish Region, Iraq. Led by Travis Mooney, Chief Operations Officer, and Tyler Wagner, Chief Technical Officer, the seminars were open to all in-country resellers, and were attended by more than 50 customer engineers.

'It was important to us that our resellers who might not have been able to see us at CABSAT had an opportunity to meet our management team,' said Alan Afrasiab, Talia's Chief Executive Officer. 'It's currently difficult, if not impossible, for Iraqi passport holders to get a visa to enter the UAE. We didn't want our resellers to feel left out because of travel difficulties.'

Other than strengthening existing relationships, the training seminars brought resellers up to speed on all the newest sales and technical information, including Talia's plans for future iDirect and dedicated services. Resellers were also asked for feedback on services and procedures.

'We're always trying to pay attention to what our resellers want, and this was a great opportunity to sit down and ask them what would make their jobs easier, and what services they think are the next big thing,' said Mr. Mooney.

While some of the information was a refresher, most resellers found it helpful. 'It was good to see some of the things we don't do, or do rarely,' said Mohammed*, a longtime reseller. 'Not everyone does everything all the time, and it always helps to meet people -- email and IM can only go so far.'

'In all, I think this was a great success,' said Mr. Wagner. 'I hope we can follow this up with other regional training sessions in the future, and we'll definitely be back in Arbil sooner rather than later.'
